Ruschmeyer'S Hotel Montauk, Montauk

My stay at Ruschmeyer's was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while small, were nice, yet a bit humid and uncomfortable unless the air conditioner was turned to freezing levels. The service was friendly, especially the housekeeping ladies, but checking out was charming and helpful. The location was convenient, close to downtown Montauk, offering a creative Summer Camp design that stood out from other hotels. The dining was more than adequate with fresh dishes, but after 3 days, it felt repetitive. Overall, a place with both highlights and room for improvement.

The hotel offers basic camp-like rooms situated around a fun open area with recreational activities but lacks value for the money. The restaurant and bar provide a cool atmosphere with friendly staff, although breakfast options are limited and uninspiring.

The hotel rooms were simple and sexy in a hip sort of way, bigger and better than expected, with a nice beachy vibe. The service was sweet and polite but very young, although a friendly staff member personally drove us to the train station. While the location had pretty garden lights and lanterns, it was not by the beach and quite difficult to access without a car. The dining options were more than adequate, with a varied spread of fresh and delicious items, though they ran out of a desired menu item. The facilities offered a fun atmosphere with teepees in a cool courtyard.

My stay at the hotel felt like a cozy and clean adult summer camp. The room was clean but would have been nicer with an extra chair. The slight moldy smell was a downside, but overall the room was cozy and clean.
